Welbeck Winter Weekend is to return to the historic estate of Welbeck on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border this November. It will take place - for the first time ever - within the grand Victorian Hunting Stables.
This year's three-day event will be held between 26th and 28th November.
The annual event, which first ran as The Harley Art Market back in 2000, has steadily grown over the years and regularly attracts people from across the country. This year it will move from its usual spot to the large 19th century stable block and courtyard in the heart of the estate.
Visitors will be able to explore art and food stalls within this large building that once housed the 96 horses that belonged to Welbeck Abbey. It was one of the buildings created as part of the 5th Duke of Portland's ambitious building works that also included the creation of Welbeck Village.
The Welbeck Winter Weekend has always been known for celebrating all things handmade and this year will be no exception. Visitors will be able to wander around a variety of stalls and buy handcrafted pieces created by a range of artists and makers, brought together by The Harley Gallery. As in previous years, there will also be the opportunity for visitors to explore the artists' workspaces within the nearby Harley Studios. There will also be food and drink stalls, showcasing the region's food producers.
