Walking the Ecclesbourne Way - Length & Grading: 11 miles, Strenuous.
Opened officially in July 2017, this linear route follows the course of the railway and river from Duffield to Wirksworth, passing through the villages of Turnditch, Windley, Idridgehay and Ashley Hay. (Over 20 stiles). We will return catching the heritage train from Wirkworth at 4pm. Fare payable approx £7 per adult, £6.50 concession. Dogs are free on the train and are welcome but must be on a lead during the walk as there will be livestock around in several fields. Children are welcome but please be aware of the distance and terrain of this walk. The route can be halved by catching the heritage railway at Idridgehay station, where we will be having a lunch stop.

Booking: Booking is recommended for all the walks and essential for some. You can just turn up if you prefer or have not made a reservation, but we cannot guarantee being able to take you if you do not book in advance.
