Stay Current Riverside Walk
A riverside walk about slowing the flow, following the Holme Brook from Loundsley Green, through Holme Brook Valley park and up to Linacre reservoirs.
Natural flood management is an effective and nature-friendly way of catching and storing high rainfall and flood water. On this afternoon stroll up the Holme Brook, Don Catchment Rivers Trust will be explaining how simple, relatively small-scale measures, such as tree-planting and pond-creation, can add up to create real benefits, helping to reduce flooding, protect people and improve our natural environment.
The Trust works to protect and restore rivers in the Don Catchment area. Find out how you and your community can be involved in natural flood management at www.dcrt.org.uk
