This year the well dressing reflects the contribution of the 19th century Bateman family to Middleton. This is part of the Bateman Festival Season, a celebration of the bicentenary of the birth of Thomas Bateman, the prominent Victorian archaeologist and Middleton resident. In addition, this year two smaller wells will be decorated to display well-dressings produced by children of the parish.Teas and cake are available in the Village Hall, 10am-4pm Sat 28th/Sun 29th May.
