Holymoorside Well Dressing
This ancient custom is only found in Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials.

Our well dressings are made in the open on site, so are available to view 24 hours a day from when we start.
Making Well Dressings: Sat 17th - 231st August, 10.00 to 17.30.
Blessing: 19.00 Thursday 22nd August
Well Dressing available to view: Fri 23rd August to Sunday 8th September. Open 24hrs - Well dressing is lit at night
The Well Dressings are on Cotton Mill Hill, Holymoorside, S42 7EJ, they are located adjacent to the River Hipper at the bottom of Cotton Mill Hill, next to the UR Chapel, 100m East of The Bull Pub. What3Words: ///crypt.garden.producing
We plan to have three well dressings, all in the same location: the large Hipper Well, smaller Whispering Well, and the Children's Well.
