This ancient custom is all but unique to Derbyshire. It's the art of decorating wells and springs with pictures made using only natural materials.
Hayfield Well Dressing
Wells in the making from 27th June and the Blessing of the Well will be on Sunday July 3rd at 2pm commencing at Bank Street.
Procession to other wells accompanied by Thornsett Band.
Refreshments and Flower Festival at St John's Methodist Church.
