About
The ancient custom of Well Dressing is only found in Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials. The well dressings will be on display from Friday 24th June from 7pm when we have the blessing of the wells. The 25th and 26th June is our Well Dressing and Open Gardens weekend
Well dressing has taken place in Elmton for over 30 years and the village displays three well dressings. The two smaller boards are designed and completed by children from Creswell Infant and Nursery School and Hodthorpe Primary School..
