    Dog Show

We love your four legged fury friends that much here at Derbyshire County Show that we have two dog shows running on the day!

We have a Pedigree Dog Show for the best examples of the breeds in the country, with the best of the best qualifying for the prestigious CRUFTS dog show.

Companion Dog Show held under Kennel Club Regulations to include Pedigree and Novelty Classes for all those family pets! Entries taken on the day.

    The Floral Art Section

The June date for the show means that we are able to see the pick of the season’s blooms helping us maintain the high standards achieved in previous years and we look forward to renewing old acquaintances and welcoming new friends both exhibitors and spectators alike.

    Bee Section

The Derbyshire Beekeepers Association put on an exhibition showing just how important bees are to the British Countryside. The display will show an observation hive, which is designed to show visitors a cross sectional view of bees at work. We shall also have a large variety of Derbyshire honey for sale. Stewards will be available to discuss the fundamentals of beekeeping to beginners and people who would like to take up the craft.

    Outdoor Food Showcase

Visiting the Outdoor Food Showcase is a great opportunity to see, taste and buy a huge variety of food and drink – much of it produced here in Derbyshire. Come and browse the fare from our hand picked exhibitors.

    Cattle, Sheep and Shires

The Livestock Committee puts on a wide range of cattle and sheep classes, with over 100 cows and 200 sheep coming to the show. The section also has classes for the heavy horse, the ridden heavy horse and an agricultural turnout.

    Other attractions around the showground

    Children’s Entertainment

There is plenty to keep your little ones entertained at The Derbyshire County Show! From donkey rides to bouncy slides, a fairground and a petting zoo, there is a wide range of things for children to see and do.

    Countryside area

Our countryside area aims to promote everything that the British Countryside has to offer!

In this area you will find Dry Stone Walling demonstrations, gun dog displays, basket weaving demonstrations to name but a few of the wonderful displays.

A huge range of Vintage Tractors, Engines and Motorcycles will also be on display in this area.

Within the Countryside area there will also be a Rural Crafts marquee. This will provide an opportunity for local traders to show off their skills that have been passed on through the generations, such as Stick Making and Wool Spinning.

    Vintage Cars

For those who prefer, there is the magic about our motoring history, which never ceases to kindle an interest in both the younger and older generation. The young inquisitive about its mystique, whilst the old languish about a part of days gone by. We are proud to present, from the majestic Rolls Royce to the humble Austin 7, a superb range of vintage motor cars restored and pristine, all in showroom condition.
