    This ancient custom is unique to Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials.

    The Blessing of the wells service at Barlow takes place on Wednesday 14th August 2024 at 6.30pm in St Lawrence Church, Barlow followed by the well blessing procession.

    Barlow Well Dressing can be found opposite The Peakcock pub on Hackney Lane,

    Barlow is located on the B6051 about 6km northwest of Chesterfield.

    The Barlow Carnival takes place on Saturday 17th August 2024.
