    The Show

Ashbourne Show is a traditional country and agricultural show, providing entertainment and interest, in a friendly atmosphere, making a great day out for all the family. We pride ourselves on maintaining high entries in Shire, cattle, sheep, goat and light horse classes. With around 150 quality trade stands, there is an excellent Crafts Tent and Food Hall. The main ring will be busy all day with entertainment (see website for details). The Grand Parade of prize-winning Cattle, Sheep and Shire and Heavy horses should be truly spectacular. Finally, relax with a bite and a cuppa, at the food mall or in the bar.

    Things To See

Visit the displays from local branches of the W.I, Ashbourne Vintage Tractor Club, Young Farmers and Ashbourne Camera Clubs. Pop in at the Goat tent. Enter the competitions in the Craft, Produce and Arts marquee. Shop at the wealth of trade stands for everything from a new tractor or lorry, down to some ‘wellie‘ boots, something practical or just for fashion. Find some truly delicious local produce in the Food Hall. And for our younger visitors, try Slacklining or jump on the Bouncy Castle.

    Show Rings

In the Main Ring [east], the Shires will be judged by a specially invited Judge during the morning. While the Main Ring [west] has Light Horse classes. The Light Horse field, with four rings has a wealth of in hand showing, ridden hunter, hacks and retired racehorse to riding horse classes to name but a few. Later in the day the Main Ring hosts the main family entertainment and the Grand Parade . Parade of Beagles, Fox and Blood Hounds, with the Grand Parade of winning animals at about 3.15 p.m, a major highlight of the afternoon.
