AboutThis Christmas, Haddon Hall will bring the nation's favourite Christmas carols to life, with a number of the hall's most striking rooms decorated to each represent a carol from the Victorian era, offering visitors a truly enchanting and memorable festive experience.
With roaring fires, glistening gold, twinkling lights and garlands decorating the Hall, visitors can take a captivating journey from one room to the next and immerse themselves in the sights, sounds and senses of each carol, from 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen' in the Banqueting Hall, where the dais table will be laden with a festive feast, to 'Good King Wenceslas' in the Kitchen, 'We Three Kings' in the Parlour and 'In the Bleak Midwinter' in the Long Gallery, where you'll be greeted by a wondrous white scene. The Chapel will be themed as 'The Holly and The Ivy' and the Manners family will decorate a Christmas tree in the Earl's apartment.
Music has always been synonymous with Haddon and that is never more so than at Christmas. While carols will play in each room, there will also be two magnificent daily performances and demonstrations on traditional instruments by the 'Doncaster Waites', as well as bell ringing, carols and brass ensembles, which truly bring the hall to life, creating the most wonderful of atmospheres this festive season.
General admission price of £14.50 (adults) and £8 (children)
