The Kinder Loop, which has been developed by Peak Horsepower, encircles Kinder Scout and draws on existing bridleways, the Pennine Bridleway and the Trans-Pennine Trail to establish a 55 mile circular route through dramatic scenery. It is suitable for mountain bikes as well as horses.
Section 2 - Trans-Pennine Trail, Millhouse Green to Hadfield
This section of the loop is very different to the rest of the ride and is all on the Trans-Pennine Trail. The route finding is easy as it is well signed and the going very good. There are plenty of opportunities for trotting and cantering. There is a special section for horse riders on the left of the trail. This can be boggy in wet weather but use it when you can to avoid other users of what can be a very busy trail. If you do go on the trail itself, slow down to a walk when passing others and give way to walkers/runners.
