A pleasant, relaxing site next to the Calke Estate (National Trust) forming the South Derbyshire/Leicestershire border and within The National Forest. The site boasts a beautiful wildflower meadow, the remains of a 250 year old windmill, an arboretum 3 Sites of Special Scientific Interest (Springwood NR, Dimminsdale and Feeder Ponds) and picturesque surroundings. The site also has a sailing club and fishery.

Open daily : (April - Oct) 7am - dusk. (Nov - March) 8.30am - 4pm. Admission is Free.

Car Park charge is £3.50 for four hours. Or £5 all day. Open all year, including Bank Holidays and New Year (only closed at Christmas).
