About
A pleasant, relaxing site next to the Calke Estate (National Trust) forming the South Derbyshire/Leicestershire border and within The National Forest. The site boasts a beautiful wildflower meadow, the remains of a 250 year old windmill, an arboretum 3 Sites of Special Scientific Interest (Springwood NR, Dimminsdale and Feeder Ponds) and picturesque surroundings. The site also has a sailing club and fishery.Open daily : (April - Oct) 7am - dusk. (Nov - March) 8.30am - 4pm. Admission is Free.
Car Park charge is £1.00 per day (£10.00 per year). Open all year, including Bank Holidays and New Year (only closed at Christmas).
