Road Directions

Exit A50 at Junction 3 onto the A514 (heading towards East Midlands Airport and Swarkestone) continuing on this road until you reach Ticknall (towards Swadlincote). (*). As you leave Ticknall turn right (on a left hand bend) towards Milton (Brown Tourism sign to Foremark). The entrance to Foremark Reservoir is about 1 mile down this road on the left hand side. Anyone interested in Fishing or Sailing should continue on about another half mile to a second entrance, again on the left, and follow the access road to the fishing lodge/sailing club (Conservation area - no general public access). From A42 Junction 13 (Ashby de la Zouch) at roundabout, take 1st exit (if travelling from south-4th from north). Go straight across at next roundabout, up over a hill and turn right at next roundabout (B5006 towards Smisby and Ticknall). Turn left at this junction and follow directions above from (*) . From M1 junction 23a (northbound) or 24 (southbound) follow signs for A453 East Midlands Airport and Donington Park Raceway. You will go round a roundabout with a Motorway Service Station on, then straight across 2 roundabouts and 2 sets of traffic lights (airport on right hand side). Continue along this road until you come to a T Junction in Melbourne. Turn left and follow the road through the village. As you leave the village there is a white pub on the right hand side, immediately after this pub turn right towards Ticknall. Follow this road until you come to a T Junction in Ticknall. Turn left and follow directions from (*).
