About
Buxton's beautiful Opera House was designed and built by Frank Matcham, one of Britain's finest architects in 1903.Recently restored to its former glory after a major refurbishment programme, the theatre is well worth a visit. Expect a spectacular auditorium complete with cherubim, exquisite ceiling paintings and gold leaf decoration. A varied programme of events includes musical concerts, drama, children's shows, dance, pantomime, comedy and opera.

Buxton is easy to find via the A6, A515 and A53. The Theatre is well sign posted once you reach the town centre.
By Rail A train service is available from Manchester Piccadilly Station to Buxton. For further information on all available services and connections call 08457 484950.
Parking there is free parking after 6pm in the car park at the rear of Pavilion Gardens, approx 100 yards from the Theatre or in the streets close to the Theatre.
