Located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, Acclimbatize takes full advantage of the spectacular scenery of the Peak District. Based in Cromford, Derbyshire between Nottingham, Sheffield and Derby, we’ll happily meet at any location. From climbing to caving, team building to canoeing and many more, there’s sure to be an activity for you.

Not only do we provide an excellent professional service, you will also gain lots of local knowledge, history and have a thoroughly enjoyable day with our very experienced staff. Whether you want to make memories with your family, improve your personal skills or provide for a large group, we can cater for it all. It’s the experience that makes the difference.

Climbing – With a multitude of locations in the Peak District alone it’s one of the best areas to try this much loved sport. Never had a go? Challenge your fear? Advance to the next level? Let us know your requirements and we’ll tailor make the day.

Canoeing – Experience the Peak District on water. Canoeing can be a great activity for the family, friends or used as team building for groups getting to know each other. With skills to be learned and games to be played the fun is endless.

Caving – With Britain’s biggest cave on our doorstep, why go anywhere else? We have a great range of caves in the local area that will cater for everyone. Whether you want to get wet, see ancient formations, abseil a waterfall or just get muddy, we can deliver. See a world that few have seen before.

Gorge scrambling – Combining scrambling and water, this activity is fun for any age, making you feel young at heart. Have a fun packed session in beautiful scenery, climbing waterfalls, crawling through holes, playing games and just getting wet!

Abseiling – Fancy Abseiling off a viaduct? Test your skills Abseiling off a bridge over a river or in a disused quarry, so as to limit environmental damage to natural rocks. At about 90 feet you will definitely get your monies worth. 

Along with these activities we can also offer Raft building, Archery, Bush craft, Rock Scrambling and Orienteering.

Road Directions

From Derby – Continue through Duffield, Ambergate and Whatstandwell along the A6. At Cromford turn left at the traffic lights onto the A5012. Continue up the hill on the B5036. You will see the business park at the top of the hill on the right.

From Chesterfield -  Take the A632 out of Chesterfield. Continue into Matlock until you reach the end at a cross roads. Go straight over. Follow the road until the end. Turn right on to Mill Road towards Cromford. At the traffic lights turn right onto the A6 then immediately left onto the A5012. Continue up Cromford Hill on the B5035. You will see the business park at the top of the hill on the right.

From Buxton – Take the A515 out of Buxton. Turn left onto the A5012 after approximately 12 miles. After 7 miles turn right then immediately left onto the B5023. Drive through Middleton, turn left at the traffic lights on to the B5035. At the junction turn left, the business park is immediately on your left.
