AboutJoin us on this 1 day beginners navigation training course where you will learn the basics necessary to navigate in the hills with a map and compass, enabling you to have the confidence to start exploring the great outdoors.
The course is ideal for complete beginners and those wanting to refresh existing skills. You'll spend your time in the outdoors with a map and compass in the incredible setting of Edale and Kinder Scout in the Peak District National Park. Initially the course starts in the valley on easy terrain and will then usually progress higher up onto slightly more complex moorland terrain.
We only take small groups (max 6) to ensure you receive the best possible training and will tailor the exercises for each person based on your level of skill and those areas you'd like to work on most. All our events are approved as "Good to Go" Covid-secure by Visit England.
