Easter Pantomime at Chesterfield Pomegranate Theatre

Chesterfield Pomegranate Theatre welcomes the all-singing, all-dancing show The Wizard of Oz as its Easter Pantomime on 2 April, starring Kerry Katona (Atomic Kitten) as Wicked Witch of the West, Barney Harwood (CBBC) as Tin Man and Brian Capron as The Wizard.

Easter Adventure Quest at Bolsover Castle

Calling all valiant adventurers! Gather the family together for a cracking day out at Bolsover Castle. Explore the 17th century site to hunt for clues and challenges, then discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race. Get hot on the trail of Easter Buddies at Tropical Butterfly House

2 – 24 April 2022
Get ready for some egg-stra special Easter fun as the Tropical Butterfly House calls families to join in its egg-citing Easter Buddies trail. Can you find all the friendly farm Easter Buddies hop, skipping and jumping around the park to claim your sweet treat reward?
Take a peek inside a giant Dinosaur egg on the Dino Trail. If you’re lucky enough to find one of the glorious Golden Eggs hidden daily around the park you also could win a scrumptious prize! Plus there’s Easter themed arts and crafts and it wouldn’t be Easter without the Easter Bunny who will be ‘hopping’ up to say hello over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Spring is also the perfect time to get outdoors and conquer the Realms of Camelot adventure playground with its slides, tunnels and tower or enjoy ride-on tractors, a zip-wire, air cannons, wet play fun and sandpits and take time out at the outdoor picnic area.

Easter Fun and ‘Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man at Chatsworth’ 

9 Apr – 1 Oct 2022  
This spring, the rolling hills and riverbanks of the Chatsworth Park will become home to a collection of monumental sculptures that will be free for all to access.  
‘Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man at Chatsworth’ will see the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire become the first place in the UK to host an exhibition of huge sculptures from the USA's iconic Burning Man event. 
Twelve monumental sculptures will be placed in the 1,000-acre parkland, bringing the distinctive culture of creativity associated with the iconic Nevada desert event to Derbyshire. 
Meanwhile there’ll be Easter activities in the farmyard, an Easter egg hunt, craft activities and the chance to meet the new lambs, chicks and goat kids. 

Easter in Wonderland at Bluebell Dairy 

9 – 18 April 2022
Follow Alice down the rabbit hole into Wonderland and join the White Rabbit Easter Egg Hunt at Bluebell Dairy. Memories of the 1940s Homefront at Crich Tramway Village  

17 – 18 April 2022
Step back in time to 1940s’ Britain on the home-front at this popular annual event. Soak up the historic atmosphere, enhanced by re-enactors; admire the group displays on the Woodland Walk; watch live 1940s’ entertainment; and hear speeches from ‘Winston Churchill’ who will be out and about meeting visitors.  
For those brave enough to face Sergeant Major Marmite, there will also be two children’s boot camps per day! 

Bonkers Bunny Bonanza at the Heights of Abraham  

15 – 18 April 2022
Enjoy family fun at Derbyshire’s oldest visitor attraction and help the Easter bunny find his friends. Catch the cable car to the clifftop country park, follow the trail and spot the bunnies hiding across the estate; some will be holding letters to make a magic word. Work it out then find the ‘Bonkers Bunny’ to receive your prize. 

Easter Extravaganza at Matlock Farm Park 

15 – 18 April 2022
On Good Friday, little ones can dress up as their favourite ‘Frozen’ stars for the Snow Sisters’ Singalong shows. On Easter Sunday, there’ll be a Jurassic Fun Day and on Easter Monday, meet the Big Bubbleman who can make monster bubbles the size of a car! Round-off your visit by meeting the spring lambs and baby chicks.

Easter at the National Stone Centre

15 - 17 April 2022

Enjoy Easter Fun at the National Stone Centre near Wirksworth, where activities include an Easter Egg Hunt on the geo-trail around the site, with a reward for each child who successfully locates each egg.
An Egg-cellent Counting (guess the amount of mini eggs in the jar) competition will be available. The winner of the competition will receive a £10 voucher for food and drinks at the centre's Blue Lagoon Café.
In addition, there will also be Easter-themed Stone Painting activity for children (including ammonites, stones, and fossils), along with arts and crafts activities.
During the lead up to Easter, the National Stone Centre are also currently running a ‘name the chick’ competition, where children have the opportunity to name the Easter mascot, which will be announced on the NSC’s social media pages. The winning name will be used throughout the promotional materials surrounding the Easter weekend.

All aboard! Take to the water on an Easter Eggcitement Canal Cruise on the Chesterfield Canal. The one-hour cruises take place on the 16 & 17 April and include games and activities and an Easter egg for children.

Easter Extravaganza at the National Forest Adventure Farm 

9 – 24 April 2022

Take the Easter Eggspress Tractor ride to Bunny Woods and follow the path to find the Easter Bunny who is giving out chocolate to every child. Meet entertaining animal friends along the way, then enjoy an interactive Easter pantomime. Children can also bottle feed lambs and meet the new arrivals in the Lambing Live Tent.

Easter Craft Fair at Tissington

16 – 18 April 2022
Browse handmade items in the charming surroundings of Tissington Village Hall at this free event, then take a stroll around the scenic estate village to admire Tissington Hall – home of the FitzHerbert family for 600 years – and visit shops including the tea rooms and vintage sweet emporium. 

Easter at Renishaw Hall & Gardens

17 – 18 April 2022
The award-winning Italianate gardens at Renishaw will be the scenic setting for an Easter Trail over Easter weekend. On 17 April, there’s also the chance to enjoy breakfast or afternoon tea in the company of the Easter Bunny.
