2016 Annual Tourism Conference
Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire's 2016 Annual Tourism Conference and Exhibition was held at The Pavilion Gardens in Buxton.
Sponsored by The Pavilion Gardens, University of Derby Buxton and the European Regional Development Fund, this showcase event brought together some of the country's leading figures in the tourism industry, organisers of major shows, as well as councillors and politicians alongside all of the Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire team.
Delegates were told about all of the work of the organisation over the past year, and what's coming up in the weeks and months ahead.
The national picture was put into context from the England Director, Andrew Stokes, and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Karen Bradley MP.
Attendees were then inspired by the ongoing work at Buxton's Crescent development and learned all about RHS Chatsworth, the very latest event in the annual calendar for the area, before being given a masterclass in digital marketing by industry expert and Google partner Susan Hallam of Hallam Internet Ltd.
