The Yeaveley Arms reopened its doors in November 2017, having been derelict for a number of years. It has been tastfully refurbished offering a cosy Bar Area, and alongside our Pear Tree Restaurant (named after the old Pear Tree cladd to the front of the pubs wall). Our Log Burning stove creates a lovely warm atmosphere on cold wintery nights. With a choice of seating from High Stools with bench tables, to formal seating, to Leather Chairs and Sofas.
The restaurant is a little more formal, but with a contepoary twist. Each table has freshly cut flowers in vases and candles to create the homely and welcoming atmosphere.
In summer months our gardens to the front and rear of the property are a place to chillax in the sun. Often to find live music events in the gardens, then in the cooler months we have live music in the bar area.
Monthly Gourmet Dinners are very popular and seats are snapped up very quickly.
Not always something to be spoken about but, our toilets are well worth a mention - the gents urinals take shape in the form of beer barrels which have been transformed; whilst the ladies are quite theatrical with mirrors donned with lights all around - they have become a good talking point to many since we opened!
Yeaveley is situated just 3.8 miles out of the market town of Ashbourne which has markets and plenty of historic activities such as the Shrovtide Football which takes place every year. We are also not far from Uttoxeter with its horse racing; then the City of Derby which is about 20 minutes drive away with the Crown Derby Factory and Ghost Walks around the old part of the city.
To the rear of Yeaveley Arms there is Yeaveley Estate which is one of the oldest shooting estates in the UK, and it is the oldest in the Derbyshire Peak District. They offer outdoor persuits such as Clay Pigeon Shooting; Archery, Fishing, Hovercrafting, Falconry, Crossbow Shooting, and Bushcraft Skills to name but a few activities. They also have luxury log cabins accommodating up to eight guests in each, and have exclusive use to exceptional BBQ Cabins.
