About
A small village east of Matlock on the edge of some fine countryside. There are many remains of old mills here in the valley between the village and Matlock and in nearby Lumsdale. Much restoration work has been achieved over the years with the old properties being put to new uses. The old part of the village is around the church and Tansley Knoll, where there are some pretty cottages.
Things to do; A group of nurseries and garden centres can be found at Tansley and are popular destinations. There are good caravan and camping sites around the village, where there are three pubs.
