AboutDown the quiet lanes in a very quiet corner of the south Derbyshire Dales, a rural backwater of much beauty.
Close by the river Dove on the very borders of Staffordshire and Debyshire, Marston Montgomery is a peaceful old place. A very fine timbered old hall is at the centre of the village, named after the ancient Montgomery family.
Things to do; Handily placed for touring the southern dales, Staffordshire Moorlands and Alton Towers. The village is a thriving community, with a pub and annual Well Dressings in June.
