Biddulph

From spring right through to autumn, Biddulph is awash with colour and is known as the Garden Town of Staffordshire.

Several time Gold Award and overall winner of the Britain In Bloom Large Town Category for the RHS Heart of England in Bloom Awards , from spring right through to autumn, Biddulph is awash with colour and is known as the Garden Town of Staffordshire. There are award winning floral displays, a country park and is home to the National Trust’s Biddulph Grange Garden.

Originally Biddulph was a mining town and has much history linked to the area. The town is made up of seven small settlements – Biddulph, Gillow Heath, Knypersley, Biddulph Moor, Bradley Green, Brown Lees and Biddulph Park.

There are many shops, cafes and pubs to enjoy as well as special events such as an annual Folk Festival and monthly Artisan Markets, making this an extremely pretty and interesting town to visit.

Biddulph is twinned with Fusignano; a small town situated close to the Adriatic coast of North East Italy, in the province of Ravenna.

The National Cycle Route 55 forms a traffic – free route through the beautiful Biddulph countryside from Stoke-On-Trent in the south to Cheshire in the north, with views to the east of the moors of the Peak District and Congleton Edge, Mow Cop and the end of the Pennines to the west. There are numerous self-guided walks available to show you the real beauty of the area including walks from the two local country parks - Greenway Bank and Biddulph Grange.
