This tiny agricultural hamlet is set in the remote White Peak uplands not far from Matlock Bath, whilst the closest village is Brassington.
Traces of a Roman road and the former route of the Cromford and High Peak Railway, now the High Peak Trail, run close to Aldwark making it a perfect base for exploring the area on two wheels, or two feet. Apart from agriculture and quarrying activities, it is as though time has stood still here giving visitors an enchanting view of life in bygone days. It is undoubtedly the place to go get away from it all.
