Waleswood Caravan and Camping Park

Our brand new caravan and camping park is 12.5 acres of the 750 acres of Rother Valley Country Park to explore and enjoy. It is a 10 minute walk to the park or, if you prefer to drive, free parking is available for the duration of your stay.

All of our site facilities are modern, clean and accessible, and free Wi-Fi is available in the café and throughout the caravan park. All our camping, caravan and motorhome pitches have access to electric hook-up points. Guests can choose from grass and hard-standing pitches, with 90 ‘super-pitches’ available all year round.

Our licensed café area is a great place to chill, have a drink and a bite to eat with an outside patio area offering views of Rother Valley Country Park and beyond towards the Peak District. Sit back and relax as younger ones make new friends in our small games room and outdoor play area, or join them in a game of outdoor table tennis / table football. We also have a sensory garden on site for you to relax in.

Brand new shower and toilet blocks include; family bathroom and shower areas, with a fully accessible wet room and baby changing units. Our accessible facilities include; toilets, showers, adult changing and a rise and fall changing bed.

Other facilities include; sheltered lit washing up areas, laundry room, electric charging points for cars and two motorhome service points. Pets are welcome on site.

Situated just three miles from Junction 31 of the M1 motorway, the site is conveniently placed for stopover visits or a long stay, with a number of nearby attractions including; Creswell Crags, Bolsover Castle, Hardwick Hall, Renishaw Hall, Wentworth Woodhouse, Magna Science Centre, Clifton Park, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, and Tropical Butterfly House. The Country Park links directly to the National Sustrans Cycle Route 6, and the Trans Pennine Trail.
