Top Shippon has been lovingly restored into a two-bedroom property, downstairs there is a wonderful spacious lounge complete with a large log burner, the perfect spot to relax and unwind after day walking or cycling the nearby Monsal Trail. There is a bright and airy formal dinning room with seating for up to 6 guests which looks out onto the garden and the fields beyond. A traditional farmhouse kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to self-cater and there is also an additional table and chairs great for more informal meals or reading the morning papers.Upstairs there is two fabulous double size bedrooms with the option of being made up as king size double or twin beds. One of these bedrooms has an ensuite while the other has use of a family bathroom. For groups of up to 6 guests there is also the option of using a sofa bed in the spacious sitting room.Top Shippon is in a pretty village location, you are only a 2-minute stroll from a couple of country village pubs serving local delicious home-cooked food. There is also a charming village store, ideal for stocking up on the essentials and local produce. From the doorstep you can walk to your heart’s content, there are many fabulous walking routes to choose from, one of our favourites including soaking up the views from the dramatic Longstone Edge. The historic market town of Bakewell is only 2 miles away and Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are also an easy 10 minute drive away.
