    The Hollow Bed and Breakfast – an Edwardian Manor House is a delightful family home offering luxury accommodation in the heart of the Peak District, surrounded by Limestone walls and rolling hills. We offer modernized accommodation without compromising the original features of the building. The Hollow provides two super king suites with walk in showers and baths. And one twin/super king bedroom with private bathroom with shower over bath. All rooms look out towards the famous town of Bakewell with farming fields in the foreground, and the Monsal Trail accessible only three fields away. The bedrooms are well equipped and with a fresh feeling offering robes, slippers, and other special touches. Each room offers a well-equipped service tray and fridge, with a coffee machine and snacks available on the landing. Homemade cake is available every afternoon after you return from your adventures. Guests may also enjoy our vast garden during the warmer months, a place to relax and read or just enjoy the sounds of the garden and our hens. When the weather turns cooler the log burner is always glowing to warm your insides.The Breakfast room hosts our morning dinning experience, but we sometimes move to our cosy Hall during the winter months. Our ‘Full Hollow’ is the favourite in the mornings, featuring the Traditional Derbyshire Oatcake, Tomatoes from our own greenhouse – when in season. Bacon, Sausage and Black Pudding is sourced from our Butcher in Bakewell. Our ‘Vegge Hollow’ is also a firm favourite with greens from the veg plot and grilled Halloumi. We also offer a variety of fish too. Homemade Bread and Preserves compliments our tasty breakfasts. All dietary requirements are catered for. In the evenings you can poddle across the road to The Packhorse. On offer are a variety of traditional hand pulled beers, good wines, and a seasonal locally sourced menu. Other eating places are only a stone’s throw away.The heart of the Peak District offers a variety of different destinations to visit. With Bakewell only being 3 miles away where you can buy an infamous Bakewell Pudding and trot round the shops. The story of how the Bakewell Pudding came about is documented at the museum in the town. Or visit the town of Buxton, the recently renovated grade 1 Crescent offers a thermal spa experience. Visit one of the many performances at The Opera House. Other local towns of interest; Ashbourne, Matlock. The village of Eyam – better known as The Plague village hosts a museum and shows houses of interest from the terrible time. Maybe visit one of the many stately homes scattered in the locality; Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall or Hardwick Hall. The White Peak hosts an ample list of beautiful walking and cycling routes. In comparison The Dark Peak boasts the atmospheric Kinder Scout, or a more affable walk-through Padley Gorge and The Longshaw Estate. The Peak District is a matrix of opportunity for every visitor.We aim to offer a friendly, homely atmosphere to create a perfect base for relaxing and exploring the Derbyshire Dales.
