Sycamore Farm Barns

Welcome to Sycamore Farm, a rewilding haven set high above the quirky Derbyshire market town of Wirksworth.

Make yourselves at home in our cowshed eco-conversions. Our three barns are fitted out for your comfort and homeliness and surrounded by green. Over decades, Martin and Nessie have created a colourful garden and rewilding environment, teeming with birds and wildlife.

Sycamore Farm makes a brilliant base for a family and friends get together, as well as smaller groups. Our three separate but interconnectable cottages sleep 8, 8, and 4 and can be rented individually, in pairs or all three together. We are especially popular with multigenerational family celebrations and multi-household friendship groups. Wake up to explore the nature, landscape and heritage of this area, or just relax at home in the cottages.

Our cosy cottages have underfloor heating from our beast of a wood boiler. We use locally sourced wood to keep you snug and the water piping hot. In fact, the farm is now carbon positive – we actually absorb more carbon from the atmosphere than we emit!
