It is a comfortable and elegant Victorian Guest House, centrally located in Buxton over-looking the Pavilion Gardens. Built in 1871, it is situated on Broad Walk, a peaceful pedestrianised Victorian promenade. A short walk takes you to the heart of Buxton where you can fill your own water bottle from the permanent flow of Buxton Mineral Water at St Ann’s well in front of The Crescent (the centrepiece of the Fifth Duke of Devonshire's plans to establish a fashionable Georgian spa town in Buxton. The grade 1 listed building is one of the most architecturally significant buildings in the country).
From the moment you arrive, Gerard & Maggi (seasoned world adventure tour leaders) will welcome you and endeavour to make your stay comfortable and memorable. They can provide you with a wealth of local information about Buxton, local restaurants, walks and activities in the Peak District.
The guest lounge overlooks the lake – here you can indulge in the many books about the Peak District or simply relax and enjoy the view. Across the hall is the elegant dining room – the venue for breakfast. Choose from our varied menu using local produce wherever possible.
Quality furnishings and period décor enhance the many original features in the house. The guest rooms are thoughtfully furnished and have television and tea and coffee making facilities. All double and twin bedrooms are en suite. Wi Fi access is free with complete coverage throughout the Roseleigh. For those who require easy access there is a ground floor room.
