From the warmth of your welcome, with the table laid for tea, with freshly made cake, to the beauty of the surrounding Peak District Scenery, you will soon feel at home in one of our two beautifully presented and newly refurbished (spring 2018) cottages; Pinster (sleeps three) and Winnets (sleeps four and Dog Friendly) .
Our two Self Catering Cottages rated 4 Star by Visit England, nestle at the head of Alsop Dale, next to the Norman Church of St Michaels and all Angels, in the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park. The cottages are “Walkers” and “Cyclist Welcome” approved and have the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark. They have been refurbished throughout this Spring, are luxuriously equipped, from the kitchen through to the WiFi and face south onto the picturesque cobbled farm yard, where you can plan your next day’s adventure, whilst you sit and relax with a glass of wine.
These adventures can start right from your cottage door with footpaths leading in all directions of the compass from the village leading to the Tissington Trail, Dovedale, together with many circular walks. Cyclists of all persuasion can find routes to ride from a gentle ride up the Tissington or Manifold trails to conquering some the major hills of Derbyshire such as the Cat and Fiddle (see our website for our walking & cycling guides). We have secure cycle storage, but if you haven’t got room for your Bik they are available for hire locally. Pony trekking is available nearby and the area is renowned for its climbing routes.
The Cottages are ideal base those who wish to visit to one of the historic stately homes such as Chatsworth or Haddon Hall, or just exploring the shops the Georgian towns of Ashbourne or Buxton or the other local market towns and villages of Derbyshire and neighbouring Staffordshire
