Abseiling Derbyshire are one of the longest standing private operators who are licenced by the Peak District National Park Authority for abseiling at Millers Dale Bridge, officially known as Bridge 75.Millers Dale Bridge carries the Monsal Trail, one of the Peak Districts many cycle ways, over the spectacular River Wye. The bridge is a 5 minute walk from the old Millers Dale Station car park which is our meet and greet spot.We provide awesome experiences for small groups such as friends and families, large uniform groups such as Scouts and Guides, as well as adult groups like stag and hen parties. We have also helped charitable organisations raise thousands of pounds to support their chosen cause.Imagine the setting, a I00 foot high (very nearly) bridge with arches spanning over a sparkeling river and narrow gorge, the top of the bridge, which used to carry steam trains, a large open space bathed in sunshine and blue skies above with the occasional fluffy white cloud floating over, and you arrive for your adventure. Your heart is pounding a little. That's understandable, but you're excited for the adventure ahead. We will kit you up, make you look like abseilers, give you the information and knowledge you need to know, when you need to know it, and you're off! Firstly, walking down the brickwork of the parapit, then to the edge of the arch. For your first abseil you will do this bit tentatively and with caution as you explore the unknown. Now you are in an awesome free hanging abseil on 11mm of rope over the water and huge 360 degree views of the River Wye. You carry on with your descent to around 1 metre above the river and then get pulled into the side for a dry landing. By the time you get to your last abseil, you will be spectacular and jump the arch like a pro! With photos taken, you retreat to the Anglers Rest pub with wonderful riverside views or the Refreshment Room cafe back on the station platform and start sharing your experience on social media to brag to your friends how awesomely spectacular and brave, you have been. What better value for money experience, half day micro adventure could you ask for?Get it booked NOW!Pete March, the owner and lead instructor at Abseiling Derbyshire, has 35 years of experience and has been working with adults and young children in both social and educational settings for all of his outdoor career.
