Scaldersitch Farm offers a new and unique glamping experience in the Peak District and Derbyshire. With stylish tipis and yurts fully furnished with handmade beds, log burning stoves, candlelight and stunning views- this is a magical place from which to discover the Peak District. With walks from the door, picturesque Hartington village on the doorstep and a multitude of attractions just a short distance away including Chatsworth House, Alton Towers and Buxton – there is definitely something for all ages.
The tipis and yurts await your arrival with crisp white bedding, featherdown duvets, towels and even bathrobes for the adults. All accommodation now has its very own wood fired hot tub which is prepared for your arrival. What better way to end a busy day exploring the Peak District. The farm is a nature lovers paradise with an abundance of birds and wildlife.
Inside the tipis are handmade superking beds- with the option of splitting to a twin and of adding 2 singles and the Cuckoo Yurt can sleep up to 5 guests in a kingsize and 3 singles. On site is a central barn kitchen and washrooms in the ‘Old Dairy’ with flushing loos and rainfall showers. The tipis also boast tea and Nespresso coffee makers, as well as sockets and USB charging points. All bookings include a welcome breakfast hamper of local produce- a real taste of the Peaks.
Reservations are based on a 2 night minimum stay and Scaldersitch Farm is open from the end of March until early November. Couples, families and whole site bookings are welcome.

Please note- the postcode will take you to Bank Top Farm (our neighbours) so please ensure you are looking out for our sign as soon as you have left the main road between Hartington and Hulme End (B5054) and enter the Sheen road. If coming from Sheen, please continue towards the B5054 main road and you will find Scaldersitch Farm on the right hand side. Due to a lack of mobile coverage in the area- we recommend guests familiarise themselves with our location ahead of arrival. Public Transport Directions
A car is recommended but not essential for your visit as we are within walking distance of many amenities, shops, pubs, a post office and so in the village of Hartington. We also have good transport links with the 442 bus linking Buxton and Ashbourne and stopping at many scenic villages between.
