Road Directions

From the South M1 J13 Exit (Stafford) Take the A518 (via Uttoxeter) for 17m and then the A50 (signposted M1). Turn off on to A515 (Ashbourne) As you pass through Ashbourne pick up the A515 to Buxton. Turn left 1m out of Ashbourne (signed Thorpe/Dovedale/Ilam) and continue for 2m. The road bends sharply left immediately after The Dog & Partridge and the hotel lies ahead at the bottom of the descent
M1 J24 Exit - Take the A50 for 20m and then turn off on to A515 to Ashbourne, follow route above
By Train - Mainline train service to Derby Station (Virgin Trains) Tel: 0870 789 1234/ which is 18m from hote. The bus to Ashbourne (see below)
By Bus - National Express Coaches serve Ashbourne (
From Ashbourne the 442 service to Thorpe with a stop located 250 yards from hotel. Service runs 6 times daily Mon-Sat and 4 times on Sundays/Bank Holidays.
By Taxi - From Ashbourne the 4m journey to the hotel costs approx £5
From The North
M6 J16 Exit Take the A500 (signposted Stoke for 7m then the A53 (signposted Leek)A5010 &A50 (signposted Uttoxeter) before picking up the A52 (signposted Ashbourne). As you pass through Ashbourne pick up A515 to Buxton .. then follow route as above.
M1 J28 Exit Take the A38 (Derby) and then A610 (Matlock) After 3m take the A6 (Matlock) Continue for approx 8m and take the A5012 at Cromford. After 8m turn left onto A515 (Ashbourne) and continue for 6m until a RH turning (Brown sign for Thorpe/Dovedale/Ilam) At T junction (Dog & Partidge) turn right and follow road as it bends sharply left. Hotel lies ahead at bottom of descent
