Hollytree Garden

Hollytree Garden is a lovely, self-contained, first-floor apartment, situated on the outskirts of a picturesque village.  Its rural surroundings are totally unspoilt with far-reaching views across the countryside to the east and south.

It is ideal for two adults, with a choice of quirky “cabin-style” twin beds (6'6" x 2'6") or an easily-converted double sofa-bed.  All bedding, towels, electricity and heating are provided.  The dining area overlooks the unspoilt surrounding countryside and the kitchen is well-equipped, with a washing machine, microwave, ceramic hob and fridge with small freezer.  The bathroom has a bath with shower over.

The property is situated seven miles to the south of the histroric, picturesque town of Ashbourne, known as “The Gateway to the Peak”.  Beyond this, lie the high moorlands and limestone caves of the Peak District.  The area offers excellent opportunities for walking, cycling and touring.  To the west, the Staffordshire Moorlands, including the craggy “Roaches” will be of interest to the walker.

Nearby National Trust properties are Sudbury Hall and Museum of Childhood, Kedleston Hall and Calke Abbey.  Other attractions are Tutbury Castle, The Potteries and Alton Towers theme park.

The property is available for bookings from May until 30 September.  Enquiries are welcome for short breaks.   To access local facilities, it is essential that guests have their own transport.  There are several supermarkets within 15-20 minutes’ drive. The local pub, the Rose and Crown, is 10 minutes’ walk away and is being refurbished in early 2019.  Off road parking is provided.  An access statement is available on request.  Arrival time is usually 3.00pm, however this is flexible! We look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful location.

We’ve had a fabulous few days. The apartment is perfect and thank you for all the little touches that made all the difference.  This is our first visit to Derbyshire and it won’t be the last – what beautiful countryside and friendly people. L&A

A super cottage with everything we could ask for.  Many special touches including tea, biscuits, bath gel, etc. Highly recommend this one. E&R

It’s rare to find holiday accommodation with such attention to detail – right down to the bubble bath and the chocolates, both much appreciated! Thank you very much. S
