About
Hodgkinsons Hotel is set in an elegant, grade II listed townhouse in the heart of Matlock Bath, on the edge of the Peak District. Built in 1770 our unique hotel is located a 5 minute walk from the Heights of Abraham cable car and a 20 minute drive from Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell.
Over the years the hotel has been lovingly restored with many of its eight individually designed rooms housing original features and antiques in keeping with the hotel’s heritage. This slice of history is cleverly blended with all modern conveniences and comforts offering the perfect place for a short break or relaxing escape. It is an ideal venue for romantic breaks or reunions of small groups of friends or family.
The hotel also has a small restaurant that serves two or three course dinners, locally sourced and freshly prepared to create a selective and interesting array of homemade dishes. The restuarant is popular with guests and locals so it is advisable to book in advance.
At Hodgkinson’s we always strive to provide a friendly environment, where you can relax and unwind, even now in these challenging times. Our core values have never been as important as now and the health and wellbeing of our guests, visitors and small team are our main priority, so you can feel safe staying with us from check in to check out. We would like to take a moment to reassure you that your safety and comfort is our top priority and that although we have made changes to our procedures in line with government and industry guidelines that we will continue to provide the relaxing experience we always have done.
