Front of the House

A warm welcome awaits you at Heywood Hall our  family owned and run guesthouse offering 6 self-catering suites from 2 to 6 guests. Some suites are themed, with sea, safari or Italian murals.

Heywood Hall is ideally placed for visiting Alton Towers, which is only 6 minutes’ drive away or walking in the Staffordshire Peak District.  The Staffordshire Way runs adjacent to the house, and there are many lovely walks along the Churnet Valley, some are accessible with a pushchair. JCB Lake is easily accessible from Heywood Hall and is a great way to spend an hour or two with young ones.  Local Cycle hire is available and bikes can be delivered to Heywood Hall and left here for collection. Our local knowledge will guide you to unusual and interesting places to visit during you stay.

There is a hot tub and sauna on site for guests use and a pretty courtyard to relax after a long day. Picnic tables placed near the trees and a pretty stream for you to enjoy a barbeque or glass of wine.

For eating out locally and all within walking distance:  The Tavern Pub serves excellent meals and Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Cafe sells award winning local produce. as well as serving delicious breakfast,  morning coffee, lunches, afternoon tea and cakes. (They offer a 10% discount voucher for our guests).

For local shopping, Uttoxeter Market Town has a Makers market every 4th Saturday of the month and there are a variety of shops and good supermarkets. There is also an Ice rink, bowling and Cinema for rainy days.

Ashbourne is a beautiful 10-minute drive  away and has a family owned department store, a host of antique shops, boutiques, local shops and great cafes.

Leek and Cheadle are Staffordshire towns, as well as unusual local shops, they both have wonderful Antique Emporiums where you can spend the days browsing and looking for hidden treasures! There are plenty of eateries for refuelling.

Heywood Hall is ideally placed for visiting villages during the Well Dressing season from May to July.

We hope to be able to welcome you soon to our home.
