Map & Directions

Road Directions

Hamps Hall and Barn is easy to find, being just one road off the main A253 Leek to Ashbourne Road.
First find either Leek (if coming from the North or West) or Ashbourne (if coming from the south or east). Take the A523. When you enter Waterhouses turn into Waterfall Lane (next to The George Pub). Follow this road to the top of the hill and keep following it round to the right past a little green. Keep in the right lane. Go past the sign that says ‘Not suitable for HGVs’. Hamps Hall and Barn can be found on the left hand side once the road has narrowed to a single lane after approx ¼ mile. (NB you can get to Hamps from the other end of this road by turning onto the lane over the little bridge in the middle of Waterhouses – but this road is very narrow and not good in bad weather!).
