A converted stone barn, the accommodation is beautifully decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The ground floor boasts a natural warm stone floor throughout, with a welcoming living area and excellent spacious dining kitchen with a full complement of modern appliances. The upper floor accommodates two bedrooms (one double, one twin) both with en-suite shower rooms, and outside is a relaxing private garden with seating area. There is parking for two cars.
Situated just outside the village of Hayfield, the area is a paradise for walkers, nestling against Kinder Scout and its adjacent (less strenuous!) peaks, all with breath-taking views. Bird watchers will not be disappointed, and the fields are the natural home to many wild mammals.
The cottage is equally convenient for those who wish to enjoy the various interesting towns and villages of Derbyshire, with their bustling markets, traditional local shops, beautiful churches and magnificent architecture.
The area also has many wonderful historic houses and parks to visit – Chatsworth, Lyme Park, Bramhall Hall, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, and others.
And for those who can’t exist without a visit to the city, Sheffield and Manchester are within 20 miles with their famous Meadowhall and Trafford Centre Shopping Malls, both accessible by train from local stations.
There is so much to do and see in the area, you will be glad to have your inviting holiday cottage to return to at the end of the day, to unwind and relax and regenerate your batteries for the next exhilarating day out.

From the East - Leave M1 at junc 29 following A617 west to Chesterfield. Take A619 west from Chesterfield to Baslow. Take A623 west from Baslow to T junction with A6. Turn right onto A6 to first roundabout. Turn left off A6 onto A624 towards Hayfield & Glossop. Turn right at next roundabout following A624 still to Hayfield. Take 3rd right turn following A624. Climb winding road for 1 mile until road levels out. Turn right into private drive signed Greenacres FarmFrom the West - From M60 (Circular Motorway around Manchester) exit at junction 1. Follow A6 south - signposted Hazel Grove & Buxton. After village of Disley on A6 pass a petrol station and Chinese restaurant on left. At next set of traffic lights turn left onto A6015, signposted Hayfield & New Mills. Continue on A6015 through the next set of traffic lights and for 3 miles until T junction. Turn right on A624, climb up a hill. On decending the hill look for Lamb Inn public house. 0.5 miles beyond this entrance turn left into private drive signed Greenacres Farm.
