About
Baslow Hall stands at the top of a winding chestnut-tree-lined driveway on the edge of the picturesque village of Baslow. Chatsworth Estate is within walking distance and the old market town of Bakewell only four miles away. Baslow is the perfect location to discover the beauty of the Peak District. Our eleven bedrooms are individually styled. Six bedrooms in the Main House have a traditional feel with lavish fabrics and ornate plasterwork ceilings. In contrast the five Garden House bedrooms are contemporary and very spacious.
Following a restful night, the Fischer's Breakfast, includes freshly squeezed juices, seasonal fruits, Max's homemade Granola and eggs, bacon and sausages from local producers.
Head Chef Rupert Rowley's cooking is always evolving. He combines classic favourites with more modern combinations and relies heavily on local produce in season including Derbyshire Lamb, Chatsworth Venison, organic Beef and Yorkshire forced Rhubarb.
Over the years our Restaurant has achieved many accolades, not least a Michelin star which was awarded in 1994 and every year since.
Enjoy the perfumes of the Herbaceous Border on a Summer afternoon and the scent of freshly cut grass. Wander between the raised beds where Max nurtures salad, herbs, vegetables and fruits for the kitchen. Max's garden attracts as much admiration from our guests as the food, accommodation and friendly staff.
Fischer's is the perfect venue for a Wedding, a Birthday, an Anniversary or small business meetings.
Whether you come to stay overnight or visit us in search of quality food in beautiful surroundings, you will be a most welcome guest.
Baslow Hall is set within beautifully maintained gardens, where there are many varieties of vegetables and fruits grown which are used to supplement the Kitchen. There is plenty to do and see right on our doorstep. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are only minutes away; Hardwick and Kedleston are under an hour from Baslow Hall.
If you enjoy the open countryside the possibilities are endless. It is like a walker's paradise in the Peak District Park. We have maps of local walks available and have many leaflets on local attractions. This is an ideal venue for intimate weddings, small boardroom meetings and family celebrations. We have three dining rooms available for private dining: with seating for 10, 20 and 38 people. We have very competitive conferencing packages available for a maximum of 20 delegates. We hold a civil licence to host wedding ceremonies at Baslow Hall.

Garden Room | 2 | Superior Double Rooms | |
Garden Room | 2 | The Garden House is in essence a 'lodge' to Baslow Hall. It has been designed in close consultation with the Peak Park Planning Board to sit comfortably in the setting of this grade II listed manor house. A private courtyard arrangement offers secluded garden seating for summer days with the public rooms and restaurants of Baslow Hall being literally a few steps across the drive. In contrast to the country house styling of bedrooms in the main house, Garden House rooms are of a contemporary, more minimalist styling. Free Wifi and personal safes are offered as standard. The well equipped bathrooms are dramatic. Four of the bedrooms benefit from ground floor access. The one upstairs room has private access to the rear of the building. Free WiFi PLEASE INDICATE IF DINNER IS REQUIRED. A £50 deposit will be taken from the card on file at the time of confirmation. |
