    A warm welcome awaits you at Farditch Farm Holiday Cottages nestled in the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with just a 10-minute drive from the market town of Bakewell, and the spa town of Buxton.

    Bakewell is well known for the local confection Bakewell pudding and located on the river Wye, close to the tourist attractions of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Bakewell has a great selection of independent shops and markets. The spa town of Buxton well known for its spa water, the crescent & pavilion gardens. Buxton has a great selection of shops, bars along with a variety of restaurants.

    These popular self-catering holiday cottages offer an excellent base to explore the local towns and villages, with the added benefit of the breath-taking countryside close to local amenities in the nearby towns.

    The grounds are the setting for a complex of 6 charming luxury cottages approached via a sweeping driveway. Full of character with original features and decorated in a contemporary style, the cottages provide comfortable living spaces for your Peak District escape. Each cottage offers a home from home feel with warm wooden flooring, high ceilings, quality oak furniture and soft furnishings. With an open plan country kitchen diner and a lounge area provides a great place to relax after a day exploring, and well-proportioned bedrooms with modern en-suit facilities.

    All the cottages are surrounding by beautiful countryside, with outside seating areas offering space to enjoy alfresco dinning, BBQs or enjoying a glass of Prosecco whilst watching the sun set and offer the ideal base for walking and cycling with many routes being on the doorstep.

    The cottages when booked together accommodate 34, with 3 interconnecting cottages sleeping 22, making an ideal venue for larger groups such as extended families, anniversaries or reunions. Our self-catering facilities aim to provide every comfort for our guests to relax and enjoy their stay in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside! with an exclusive caravan site close to the development with plenty of parking and pets are welcome too!

    There is also the local pub within walking distance. The Church Inn in Chelmorton, stands opposite the village church offering traditional pub food whilst retaining that unique feel of a real traditional English Pub. Step out of the old inn door and you'll connect with some of the most iconic walks and footpaths in the land, with the Limestone Way, the Pennine Bridleway and the Midshires Way all passing through Chelmorton.

    There are also some stunning circular walks starting (and finishing!) at the pub. What better way could there be to cultivate a thirst or work up a fine appetite?

    The diverse scenery of the White Peak and Dark Peak is easily accessible, with many beautiful places to visit and walks with some truly amazing views, including Dovedale with its famous stepping stones, Monsal Head which is a famous beauty spot with a magnificent view down Monsal Dale and up the Wye Valley and Mam Tor with some of the most admired and stunning parts of the Peak District. Known to be one of the best ridge walks in the country, giving stunning views over Edale, Hope Valley and even the edge of Kinder Scout.

    The Monsal Trail is just 12 minutes from the cottages offering walking and cycling routes along the former Midland railway line for 8.5 miles through some of the Peak District’s most spectacular limestone dales between Chee Dale and Bakewell with some breath-taking views along the way.

    The Tissington Trail is just 20 minutes from the cottages again offering walking and cycling routes along the former Buxton to Ashbourne railway line for 13 miles from Ashbourne to Parsley Hay before joining with the High Peak Trail surrounded by beautiful countryside through the stunning Peak District national Park.
