Callow Top Holiday Park


Callow Top is an award winning family campsite & caravan park in a great location on the edge of the Derbyshire & Staffordshire Peak District. We're within walking distance of the market town of Ashbourne yet surrounded by open green fields. You'll be ideally located for exploring the attractions of the local area including Chatsworth, Dovedale, The Heights of Abraham & Gullivers Knigdom.

If you're looking for a campsite near Alton Towers we're perfect being just 20 minutes drive away

We accept, tents, trailer tents, caravans and motorhomes (up to 30ft). All electric pitches are hardstanding. If you camp, caravan or motorhome our 4 star facilities mean you can enjoy the great outdoors with some home comforts to make your holiday complete

We also offer self catering accommodation in a static holiday caravan, two holiday cottages and an apartment. Sleeping from 1 - 7 guests the self catering accommodation is centrally located on the park so you'll be in a great position for using the park facilities.

Visit us during peak season for a fun filled family holiday. There's heated swimming & paddling pools, children's play area, amusement arcade, games field, coarse fishing lake and live entertainment to keep all ages happy.

Our pub & restaurant and cafe bar serve a wide selection of hot and cold food and real ale brewed in our very own micro brewery. A free Wi-Fi hotspot is available in the cafe bar.

We have direct access to the Tissington Trail cycling/walking route from the site and cycle hire is available from reception.

Other facilities include toilets & showers, pot washing & laundry rooms, coin operated hairdryers & plug sockets, calor gas sales and freezer pack facilities.

During low season we're perfect for a quiet break to get away from it all. Enjoy walking, cycling & exploring the Peak District.

(Entertainment peak season only. Heated outdoor pool May-end of September. Pub only open weekends & peak season. Cafe/bar open weekends. Mid-week opening varies according to the time of season)

Road Directions

By road: From north, M1 to J28-A38 to Derby-A52 to Ashbourne. From south, M1 to J25-A52 to Ashbourne (don't take the ring road) From Ashbourne take the A515 towards Buxton. The access to Callow Top is 0.5 miles from Ashbourne on the left. Two large signs mark the entrance. Public transport: nearest train station is Derby, buses run from Derby to Ashbourne.
