Map & Directions

Road Directions

Burrs Farm is quite tricky to find as you cannot view the farm from the road (and the postcode takes you to another farm!) so please use these directions below:Take the A6 between Bakewell and Buxton. Turn onto Brierlow Bar A5270 sign posted Chelmorton (the turning is approx. 3.8 miles from Buxton Centre and 7.5 miles from Bakewell) and follow the road for ¾ mile. The track that leads to Burrs Farm is on the right hand side just after a cattle crossing on the left - there is also a footpath marker with a large ‘Burrs farm’ sign on it as you turn onto the track. (if you pass a sign for the Church Inn on your left or a left hand turn for Chelmorton you have gone a few yards to far).Follow the track for 0.3 miles and you will see a fairly new wooden fence on the right hand side, turn right and you will drive over a cattle grid and as you dip down you will see Burrs Farm.If you are coming from the direction of Ashbourne on A515 take the right hand turn (Old Coalpit Lane A5270) before the Brierlow Bar bookshop again signed posted to Chelmorton, follow the road and after about ½ mile, you will pass two right hand turns signposted for Chelmorton, carry on beyond these for a few yards until you see a sign on the right hand side for the Church Inn and a cattle crossing, take the next left hand turning onto a farm track that leads to Burrs Farm. (If you pass a small row of cottages on the brow of the hill you have gone too far).Burrs farm is signposted on the public footpath sign as you turn onto the track. Please note that the postcode does not take you to the property direct but a nearby Farm called Flatt Farm (if you see a large blue cabin at the bottom of the drive it is the wrong farm!). Do use these directions above and make sure all your fellow guests are aware of this information.
