Cheshire House Bed and Breakfast is situated in the heart of the historic village of Castleton, which is famous for the show caverns of Blue John and Peveril Castle. We aim to provide friendly yet unintrusive hospitality allowing guests to enjoy their stay at their own pace. We offer two tastefully furnished double bedrooms. Both bedrooms have ensuite facilities, along with colour TV, tea and coffee making trays, and other extras to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
We offer a tasty wholesome breakfast, at your own table in our stylish dining room. You can choose from our full English breakfast menu, featuring bacon and sausage supplied by our local butcher, or a lighter/vegetarian alternative should you prefer. There are a number of pubs and tearooms within easy walking distance.
Castleton is the ideal base to discover the surrounding Peak District, and its spectacular scenery. Cheshire House is the perfect base for walking, with walks starting from our driveway, or within a few miles radius. Castleton is ideal for walkers, cyclists, climbers, cavers hang-gliding and even paragliding.
For those wishing to explore the surrounding area Chatsworth House, is closeby. Along with Haddon Hall, Bakewell, famous for its Bakewell Pudding, the plague village of Eyam and Buxton famous for its Opera House.

From M1 (south) - junction 29 then A617 to Chesterfield and A619 to Baslow. At roundabout take second exit A623. At Calver crossroads turn right (A625) then left to Grindleford and then Hathersage At T junction turn left and follow road through Hope to Castleton. As you enter Castleton, turn right into carpark, opposite Cheshire Cheese Inn, signposted Cheshire Mews.
From Manchester - take the A6 Buxton Road to Chapel-en-el_Frith, turn left on to A6187 /A625 to Castleton. Drive down Winnats Pass and through the village until you reach the Cheshire Cheese Inn. Turn left into carpark sign posted Cheshire Mews
