The Old Cheese Factory is set in an idyllic and supremely private location in the rural village of Windley, on the edge of the peak District. The Grade 11 listed building has been restored to incredibly high standards and offers spacious accommodation for up to eight people, with four bedrooms, all en-suite.

Orginally a malt house dating back to the seventeenth century, every effort has been made to retain the orginal features such as the oak beams and lime Ash floor. Externally, there is a large and totally private garden.

The activities are endless, whether you wish to : walk around Dovedale, cycle the Derbyshire byways, sail at Carsington Water, play golf or simply relax in the peace and quiet of The Cheese Factory garden. Alternatively there is plenty of sightseeing and shopping, Chatsworth, Kedleston Hall, Heights of Abraham, Alton Towers and the market towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell are all within easy reach.

From Ashbourne take the A517 east towards Belper. Approximately 8 miles out of Ashbourne the Tiger Public House will be on the left. At this point turn right into Windley Lane, signposted "Windley Only". Continue for 1.7 miles until you reach a triangular grass junction on your right. The Old Cheese Factory is immediately on your left.
