Lowther Guest House is centrally located on a quiet side road in Buxton close to the Market Place. We offer bed and breakfast accommodation in rooms which have been thoughtfully refurbished with style creating a perfect combination of period features with modern comfort. We have gated off-road parking for all our guest's cars.

Our breakfast menu offers: fruit juice, a variety of cereals, a delicious traditional full English breakfast, beverages, toast and a selection of conserves, honey and marmite. We also offer vegetarian options and a lighter breakfast option on request.

The historic Spa Town of Buxton in Derbyshire plays host to the Buxton Festival in July and the Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in August. The famous Buxton Opera House is renowned as are the delightful Pavillion Gardens both are approximately a five minute walk away. The Market Place offers a vast choice of restaurants.

The surrounding scenic countryside areas of The Peak District, Kinder Scout, the Derbyshire Dales and the Staffordshire Moorlands are stunning. A visit to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Lyme Park are but a few places well worth visiting.

From Ashbourne A515. Go straight through the Fiveways traffic lights. There are 3 sets of pelican traffic lights but just before the 3rd set, turn right. Then turn immediate left by High Peak Vets. Turn first left onto Hardwick Square West. Lowther is the first house on your right.

From Bakewell A6. Take the first exit off the Morrisons Store roundabout on to Dale Road. At Fiveways traffic lights turn right and then follow directions above.

From Manchester. Follow A6 until you come to Morrisons Store roundabout and take the last exit on to Dale Road. At Fiveways traffic lights turn right then follow the directions above.

From A53/ A54/ A537 Heading into Buxton fork right at first set of traffic lights. At Fiveways traffic lights turn left then follow the directions above.

Nearest Railway Station is Buxton Station.
All buses stop on the Market Place.
