Details

Cross View is a charming eighteenth century stone cottage which offers comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to 6 people. Children and pets are welcome. The cottage also has free wireless broadband internet access, a dishwasher, washer-drier and freezer. As well as the open fire, there is central heating throughout. All fuel, linen and a welcome pack of local produce are included in our very reasonable prices.

Cross View is situated in the small village of Litton, which has a village green, a community shop and the very popular Red Lion pub. Five minutes drive away is the larger village of Tideswell. The nearest towns are Bakewell (the home of Bakewell Pudding) and Buxton, (the home of Buxton mineral water).
Situated in the heart of the Peak District, Litton has easy access to some of the finest walks in the Derbyshire Dales. These include Cressbrook Dale, Monsal Head, the Monsal Trail and Mam Tor.
It is a good base for sightseeing. Haddon Hall, Chatsworth and Eyam Hall are nearby. Eyam is also famous as the "Plague Village."
For children, Alton Towers is accessible for a day trip.
Throughout the summer, the Derbyshire Well Dressings are an essential part of every holiday.
