Little Summerhill Cottages is a new development of three converted barns with the second one ready for use in 2010.
Situated off the beaten track in the Staffordshire Moorlands yet only 1 mile from the A52 between Alton Towers and Stoke on Trent, our four star, one or two bedroomed cottages offer a cosy relaxing break or an interesting base for exploring the area's many attractions.
Nestled by the lane on our smallholding our cottages have underfloor heating with controls in each room, additional heating for chilly evenings, private parking, lawns and seating areas to enjoy the view over open farmland.
Beech Cottage has one double bedroom, bathroom with shower over bath,kitchin/dining area/lounge and is all on one level.
Chestnut Cottage has been designed for the less mobile and has one double bedroom downstairs with wet room, kitchen and lounge all on one level and a gallery bedroom with its own seating area, TV and DVD player and twin beds which can be made up into a super king with sufficient notice.
We also offer a warm welcome and assistance when necessary.

Notes
Our cottages have been designed with the less mobile in mind.
Beech Cottage has two small steps in then all rooms are on one level.
Floors are tiled and mats can be removed if required.
It is accessible to a standard wheelchair with the use of a portable ramp.
Taps however are not levered and there are no grab rails.
Chestnut Cottage at present has seven steps to the entrance but we hope to have a permanent
Ramp in place by the end of the year. There is a fixed handrail beside the steps and WC are we are
Installing grab rails in the wet room.
The downstairs bedroom will be accessible to wheelchairs when the ramp is in place.
Floors are tiled and mats can be removed.
The gallery bedroom with its own seating area was designed with carers in mind to offer some
Privacy without jeopodising assistance.
Taps in Chestnut are levered, mirrors, windows etc. are at the requisite height to achieve Molbility 1.
We are available to greet all guests, explain the facilities, move furniture or generally provide
Whatever assistance we can to make your stay enjoyable.
