Grade II listed cottage, some 250 years old, provides character self catering accommodation with many original features, in the quiet, peaceful village of Middleton by Youlgrave. An ideal base for excellent walking and cycling in the heart of the Peak District National Park with Bradford Dale, Lathkill Dale, the Limestone Way and High Peak Trail close by. Close to the historic market town of Bakewell and the attractions of Chatsworth and Haddon.

From the east/north: M1 exit J28 onto A38 (S to Derby) exit onto A610 and take 4th exit to Ambergate (A6). Turn onto A6 right to Matlock and continue to Rowsley, turn off left after small section of dual carriageway onto B5056 (Ashbourne/Youlgreave) continue through Youlgreave and after leaving take first turn left to Middleton. Holly Homestead is opposite the red public telephone box on the right of the Square.
From the west/south: Via Ashbourne or Buxton take the A515 to Newhaven (approx halfway between Ashbourne & Buxton) - turn off onto the A5012 taking the first left past a chemical works, and in about 1.7 miles take a right turning for Middleton which is then 1 mile from the village. as you enter the village you will see the red phone box on your right just before the Square. Nearest railway station is Matlock. There is a regular bus service from Bakewell.
