Stylish and private retreat for two in the Peak District:
7 Night Break (Friday to Friday) 4 Night Midweek Break 3 Night Long Weekend

Located above the pretty village of Barlow, five miles west of Chesterfield, "Cruck Barn Cottage" has been lovingly renovated and offers cosy and luxurious accommodation for couples.

Unwind in peace and tranquillity in the midst of spectacular rural countryside. Spend days out walking the Edges or wander around local market towns and picturesque villages. Chatsworth House, Hardwick and Haddon Halls are all within twenty minutes drive if you enjoy history. Relax in the late afternoon with a book on the private terrace or light a fire on cooler days and enjoy the lounge with its ancient exposed cruck beams. Take advantage of numerous footpaths, many of which are on our doorstep.

Max and Susan Fischer, who own Cruck Barn Cottage, have been in the hospitality business for thirty years. Their hotel and restaurant Fischer's at Baslow Hall has gained many accolades over the years for its fine dining and luxurious accommodation, whilst Rowley's Restaurant (a joint venture between Max, Susan and Head Chef Rupert Rowley, also in Baslow) has become a popular bistro and bar since its opening in 2006.
